The construction of homogenous sports grounds with our special machines and the surface’s long-lasting durability due to the application of our cleaning machines are convincing arguments.

Quality – an absolute must

To be able to offer you these services constantly, we are continuously investing on our machinery and staff, so that our production always will be up to date to the state of the art.

There, the application of effective methods in our quality assurance is a fixed part in our company, so that you will be delighted about the perfected technology and the long-lasting life period of SMG’s products.

Track

SMG manufactures customised construction machines for the professional laying of jointless, permanent elastic sports surfaces. Our mixing, paving as well as structural spraying machines are especially designed for the implementation of Insitu applications in indoor and outdoor areas. Projects ranging from standardised children’s playgrounds up to an IAAF-certified athletic stadium are possible. All conventional granulates, liquid components and binders used in the installation of synthetic sports surfaces can be processed by SMG machines.

They install elastic layers made from rubber granulate and stones as well as basic surface material made of rubber or EPDM granulates, mixed with PU binder. EPDM granulates are processed to single-layer or multi-layer, with or without structure. Structural spray coatings or so-called sandwich systems can be realised.

The paving machines are manufactured with a standard working width from 1.2 up to 3.6 meters. SMG mixers being adjusted to the pavers are available with a mixing performance from 50 kg up to nearly 400 kg per minute. Thus, this professional mixing equipment is suitable for the precise mixing of multi-component liquid systems. SMG offers spraying machines and granulate blowers for structured surfaces. For the renovation machines for grinding and milling of worn out surfaces are available.

GranuMatic G402

Granulate blower for scattering rubber granulate when applying top coat

Top quality coatings of sports floors having an EPDM granulate upper surface requires a lot of know-how and special experience of spreading. For a perfect surface with secure coverage of the coating material, an even application layer and a sufficient quantity of granulate are absolutely essential.

The special challenge faced during the careful spreading required for the installation of a running track is to provide large granulate throw widths with a high degree of accuracy.

Normally, this work is carried out by hand, using shovels. Consequently, achieving a large throw width is extremely labour-intensive and exhausting. The GranuMatic makes this work much easier. The heart of the machine comprises a very efficient rotary blower which is driven by a diesel engine. The flow of air generated by the blower conveys the granulate to a rotary vane feeder and via a flexible hose to a spreader tube. With this spreader tube, the granulate can be scattered in measured quantities in a radius of up to 12 meters.

The spreader tube allows the spreading path of the granulate to be precisely controlled. Therefore, it is much easier to ensure that an equal surface structure will be obtained. The delivery capacity is approx. 50 to 75 kg/min, depending on the specification of the granulate. For continuous work, the material container must be topped up at regular intervals. The capacity of the material container is approx. 200 liters and therefore it serves as a buffer and feed container during the work operation.

SMG
LineStar LS15

Spraying machine for the precise marking of lines on synthetic sports surfaces, including synthetic grass

The lining and marking of sports surfaces require special accuracy and therefore high precision during application. In the majority of cases, national and international standards must be complied with. The quality of the result will be inspected by the customer or must be approved by testing authorities.

The concept and function of the LineStar LS15 are optimised to meet these demanding requirements. When used with professional expertise, this lining machine is capable of achieving the highest standard.

First and foremost is the comfortable handling, which significantly reduces the work load of the operator. The generously- dimensioned, powerful drive motor coupled to the compressor generates the compressed air required to power all functions. The pressure container for the linemarking paint delivers the required quantity directly to the precision spray gun. All adjustments necessary for precise application of the paint can be made there. The line width can be adjusted with exact precision via flexibly-mounted limiter discs. Wiper blades keep the limiter discs clean and guide the surplus paint back into a well-dimensioned collection tank.

All functions for handling the machine are arranged at the machine steering handlebar and are very easy to control. The spraying air and the paint for the spray gun are controlled from here. Raising and lowering the limiter discs can also be conveniently set via compressed air, as well as the contact pressure, the forward momentum and the setting for straight or curved lines. The paint delivery pressure in the pressure container can be adjusted at the pressure chamber. All setting values are displayed through pressure gauges and are therefore reproducible. The simple structure of the spraying system makes cleaning easy. On athletics tracks, smooth running is ensured through solid-rubber tires with precision bearings. To provide exact guidance for lining on artificial turf, an optional star wheel can be supplied.

Using the LS15, line widths of 4 to 15 cm can be produced with line-marking paints, exactly as required. Generally, work is carried out using the nozzle size of 3.5 mm.

For safety during transport and storage, we recommend the SMG transport box.

MixMatic 5300

Automatic mixer for 2-component liquid self-levelling polyurethane coatings

Nowadays, high-quality liquid polymers for synthetic sports surfaces as synthetic surfaces or sandwich systems are mixed at the best by the MixMatic M5300. Especially certified (IAAF) high-performance sport facilities require constantly exact and homogenous material mixtures during the installation process.

The M5300 consists of each two suction pump as well as dosage pumps. These are driven by the three-phase current gear motors. During continuous operation frequency convertors enable mixing ratios of up to 10:1. The hoses are either connected directly to the material barrels or to the IBC-Container where the different liquid components will be aspirated and delivered to the pipe by means of the dosage pumps.

A special mixing tool mixes component A and B to a homogenous self-levelling polyurethane coating. Flow rate sensors control the suction process. The calibration of the machine can be carried out through the central control panel. Afterwards the mixer is switched on and off manually by means of the manual control. An optional material container also permits adding granulate or granulate powder. The M5300 has an output of up to 80 liters per minute. Truck-fork slots and hooks are available on all sides and thus guarantee a safe loading and transport.

MixMatic M250

Compact compulsory mixer for materials used for synthetic sports surfaces and industrial floors as well as protective shock pad covering

A wide variety of materials in small quantities can be homogeneously mixed by the MixMatic M250. The compact mixing unit is driven by a petrol engine.
Due to its construction the M250 can be stored space-saving and the powder-coated heavy-duty wheelbarrows used as mixing and transport container ensure a continuous and flexible flow of material.

A hydraulic lifter swings the mixing head upwards. Then the heavy-duty wheelbarrow is placed underneath the mixing unit. Afterwards the mixing unit needs to be lowered and thus the container is fixed in position. The mixing cycle starts and continues until it is switched off by hand. During the mixing time of approx. 2 minutes the next mixture can be prepared in another wheelbarrow. Additional material can be safely added at any time through the filling lattice. Thus a homogeneous mixture of all components is achieved in the shortest possible time.

Two heavy-duty wheelbarrows, which serve as transport and mixing containers, are included in the delivery.

SMG
MixMatic M1202/M2402

Discontinuous mixer for materials used for synthetic sports surfaces and industrial floors

Materials for sports surfaces, such as granulate, gravel, cork and PUcoating are homogeneously mixed by the MixMatic M1202 and M2402. The M1202 is also ideal for industrial floors, e.g. for cement-bound floor screeds or epoxy resin floor coverings.
The robust construction of the machines is designed to withstand the extremely tough conditions of non-stop work on job sites. Thus the low filling lever for loading and the strong lifting hydraulics for the speedy discharging of the mixed material turn out to be key benefits.
The mixer works on the same basis than a tumbler mixer. The material is mixed extremely intensive due to the compulsory mixer and the mixing cycles are correspondingly shortened. Homogenous mixtures are the result of short mixing times. By using the extra tray (option) the mixing process can be expedited and its lifting hydraulics, which is connected to the basic mixer M1202, facilitates the loading. Outriggers guarantee a safe position on uneven surfaces.

If the quantity of mixed material needs to be increased - e.g. for thicker coverings or over large areas - the large mixer M2402 is exactly the right solution. With the double mixing capacity, which is enabled by the twin mixing containers, the machine has all the positive characteristics found with the M1202 model: robust technique, low filling level, highest mixing intensity and short mixing cycles.
For this reason the MixMatic M2402 is a supplement to the M1202 type and the larger machines MixMatic M6004 and MixMatic M6008. They offer an alternative to the user for the efficient installation of middle and larger sport and industrial surfaces.

While charging and emptying is going on, the mixing tool remains in the container and continues to scrape the interior surface of the container so that no material can build up and the wall remains clean. The position of the bow segment can be changed in order to vary the distance between the mixing tool and the container wall. Thus the intensity of mixing of fine or coarse material will be increased or reduced resulting in a constant mixing quality.

The special lifting hydraulic enables the mixing container to be raised to any desired height up to 1.500 mm for emptying into any of the dumpers commonly used in the market.
Ergonomically and clearly positioned, the operating elements facilitate a danger-free work with the machine. All important operating elements are protectively covered. For cleaning of the mixing tool it can be easily removed with a few grips.

Charging vat
During mixing the next charge of granulate can already be prepared in the extra tray. This will be hydraulically tipped into the mixing container, so that the whole procedure continues almost without any interruption. In contrast to conventional charging of the mixer with separate sacks, the use of the optional charging tray expedites the mixing process and increases the quantity of available mixed material. MixMatic M2402 While charging and emptying is going on the mixing tool remains in the container and continues to scrape the whole of the interior surface so that material cannot build up and the wall remains clean. The position of the bow segment can be changed in order to vary the distance between the mixing tool and the container wall. The hydraulic lifting device enables the mixing container to be raised to any desired height up to 1.500 mm for emptying into any of the dumpers commonly used in the market. Ergonomically positioned, the operating elements simplify a danger-free work with the machine. All important operating elements are protectively covered. The MixMatic M2402 model has the same advantages as the ones of the M1202 series, such as the low filling point height of 1.000 mm. An additional, impressive feature of this machine is the duplication of the output without an increase of the actual mixing time. Thus, the MixMatic M2402 is the connector between the machines of the M1202 series and the large plants of the MixMatic M6004 series. It offers an alternative for the rational installation of bigger areas to the users.

SMG
MixMatic M6004

Automatic continuous mixer for mixing materials used for synthetic sports surfaces

The powerful and compact M6004 is a highly effective and clean solution for the homogeneous mixing of rubber granulate, with single-component binder (polyurethane). A gravel unit or a second PU pump can be optionally coupled to the basic machine. In conjunction with a modular construction system of various screw feeders, pipes and feeding adapters it is possible to get a wide variety of individual mixtures with precisely measured ratios for many different kinds of surfaces, e.g. recycled granulate base mats, EPDM granulate surfaces, sandwich-systems, PUR-coatings, structural spraying coatings, elastic subbases and others. Switch and control elements for the mixer and the auxiliary appliances are on one common control panel.

Option 1 Gravel container with 1.000 liter capacity, with sensor control of the fill level and a vibrator driven by an electric motor for a continuous material flow.

Option 2 An electrical steered dosage pump for mixing of polyurethane coatings. Hose connections for adding the B component as well as the special mixing tube and tools are included in the delivery of the dosage pump.

The steering track-rod makes the handling of the MixMatic M6004 easy manoeuvrable on site. The chassis handbrake and the supports, which can be pulled out, hold the machine firmly in place when parked; all-round truck-fork slots enable a safe loading on a fork-lift truck.

The central electrical control for the mixer has interfaces for the connection of the auxiliary appliances. The PU, granulate and gravel outputs are infinitely adjustable. The output quantity of the individual component is relying on the rpm and digitally displayed.

The mixing unit, consisting of pipe, feed screw and motor works at a constant rpm. Metering and mixing times are controlled by a timer.

RauMatic R251

Milling machine for the renovation of elastic sports surfaces

The renovation of sports surfaces through abrasion of the surface layer and subsequent recoating is becoming ever more important as an alternative to complete renewal. The reason is, in this way, considerable costs and materials are saved. After the recoating, the thickness and consquently the technical properties of the surface coating remain preserved or may even be improved.

The RauMatic R251 is a milling machine for milling off the surface coating from elastic PU sports surfaces. In this process, the milling cylinder abrades the surface away with a speed of approx. 3.000 rpm. The milling cylinder is approx. 350 mm wide and equipped with milling discs which use tungsten carbide. The machine’s built-in suction system immediately extracts the abraded material away from the milling tool and simultaneously cools the work area. In this way, any detrimental heating-up of the tools and the coating is prevented.

The material is immediately transferred into a filter unit. Cartridge filters separate the exhaust air from the abraded material. This is caught in a dirt container with a capacity of 500 liters and can be disposed of with a minimum of effort. The use of several interchangeable containers makes it possible to work continuously without prolonged interruption. The thickness of material to be abraded is regulated automatically in the millimeter range through a touch probe system. Thicknesses from 1 to 5 mm can be removed in one work operation. Depending on the quality of the substructure, the new surface layer can then be applied as required.

The drive for the machine is provided by an extra powerful diesel engine, producing 70 kW (96 HP) of power. The steering and the feed drive are provided using hydraulics. A hydraulic motor brings the filter cartridges into position in rotation for cleaning-off. When full, the dirt container can be hydraulically lowered for removal and is then replaced with an empty container.

SMG
RotoMatic R58

Grinding machine for elastic synthetic sports surfaces

The grinding machine RotoMatic R58, with its compact construction, is extremely suitable for grinding elastic synthetic sports surfaces, particularly on small areas, boundary zones, alongside curbstones and for projecting boundary lines. The RotoMatic R58 is steered by hand and the operator has a clear view of the work surface and the edge of the grinding disc. Three solid rubber wheels on bearings enable easy manoeuverability and ensure an accurate and safe operation. The arrangement of the wheels prevents the grinding disc from tilting, even when the surface is uneven.

The grinding disc is mounted on the crankshaft of a 4-stroke petrol engine. In this way the power provided by 13 HP is directly transmitted to the grinding area. The adjustable grinding pressure is set by hand and held constant by the machine. This prevents fast wear of the grinding disc and damage to the surface. For a brief interruption or when the work is finished, the grinding unit can be pivoted upwards by a Bowden cable, and locked in this raised position by a security lever. With a few simple touches the RotoMatic R58 can be fold up for transport or storage and requires little space.

SMG
StrukturMatic S80

Spray machine for structural spray coatings of different viscosity and graining on synthetic sports surfaces

The StrukturMatic S80 is based on the well-established technology of the SMG StrukturMatic collection. Being the compact version of the S122, the S80 is an ideal replenishment for professional structural coatings on synthetic sports surfaces. The machine is capable to work with solventbased, solvent-free or water-based materials, especially on small areas. Equipped with a compact and air-cooled Honda 1-cylinder petrol engine or a 7.5 kW electric motor, the S80 achieves approx. 14 kg material throughput per minute and thus is nearly as effective as the S122 model.

Simple hydraulic components and the waiving of electronic components are making the machine reliable and easy to use. Four large air-filled tires and a weight of only 350 kg reduce the surface pressure and facilitate the machine’s operation.

Material container, rotor, stator and the hose set with TurboSpray TS30 are extensively compatible with the S122 collection. Viscous, very compact and coarse-grained structural spraying coatings as well as primer and sealings can be applied by using different nozzles. Thanks to the variable hinged arm, an action radius of 10 meters is possible. A controllable pump pressure and an adjustable air quantity reduce the spray vapour and produce a homogenous spray finish - at a maximum area capacity.

The low filling height of only 75 cm and a safety grid facilitate the charging of the machine and safe work for the operator. The material container is plastic-coated, impactresistant, thus protected against corrosion. The material feed is switched on and off manually by means of a control valve. An electric control element/function, like the S122 provides, is not available. Feed quantity and pump pressure can be coordinated and are infinitely adjustable. The refilled spraying material is mixed simply and efficiently with the previous charge by the integrated mixer, preventing it from settling and guaranteeing a continuous material feed.

All functions and control elements are handily placed and can be read at a glance. The control valve, pressure control and pressure valve are also easily accessible.

SMG
TrackCutter TC400

Application prior to the stripping of worn sport surfaces made of granulate or solid synthetics by ripping the surface into manageable panels or stripes

The removal of unusable or worn sport surfaces made of granulates or solid dynthetics is particularly problematic. The base, which is usually asphalt, can be detached relatively straight forward by means of a suitable stripping unit, nevertheless the surface produces undefinable panels and strips owing to the consistency of the material.

The TrackCutter cuts all elastic surfaces made of rubber granulates or PU into manageable panels or strips measuring approx. 1.00 m x 1.00 m by preference.

A wear resisting fly cutter seperates the surface. The cut depth can be adjusted infinitely variable from 0 - 25 mm. A side-marker permits cut widths of up to 1.00 m.

The cutting capacity is c. 400 m2/h using a cut depth of 10 mm and panel size or a cutting distance of 1.00 m. It is further possible to use the TrackCutter for the refurbishment of a surface. Therefore, cutting out damaged areas is much easier and quicker. An adjustable marker permits effortless cutting alongside of edgings and run-off gutters.

Cutting the surface prior to stripping it provides following advantages:
Stripping is considerably easier
Cut pieces can be lifted and piled up without difficulty
Stacking and transport on pallets is more economical
a better utilization of loading capacity in the case of road transport
cost savings due to easy handling when recycling

CarpetWonder CW 95

For cleaning and maintaining carpet spread with granules in indoor tennis courts

CarpetWonder is a multi-functional machine for cleaning, picking up granulate from around the playing area, ball abrasion and other dirt particles, such as small stones, and for returning the exact quantity of granulate back to the carpet. This is all done by this special machine in one process. There is no better way of preserving the value and functional efficiency of your rubber granulate top dressed carpet.

With its effective brush roller and an enormous working width, despite its compactness, the CarpetWonder is very easy to move and turn and therefore, far superior to other cleaning machines. This is the only machine that is capable of picking up granulate and dirt together, separating them with a vibrating screen that can be set to operate at different speeds, and spreading the cleaned granulate back onto the carpet in variable and exactly dosed quantities.

Dust, ball abrasion and all other loose dirt particles lying around are picked up by the quietly operating suction turbine and compacted in a permanent filter. The tennis team on the neighbour court can concentrate on their match without being disturbed, while the CarpetWonder does its work of preserving the quality and safety of the surface of the court next to them with a minimum of noise.

The cleaning efficiently protects and puts the carpet fibres upright while the desired quantity of granulate is evenly spread over the whole playing area at the same time as ball abrasion and other dirt particles are almost noiselessly removed, without creating dust.

Drag Brush SB1

The 3-point hitch rear-mount accessory with variable tow coupling is suitable for all types of compact tractors. Four specially arranged trailing drag brushes serve to level the surface of infilled artificial turf.

SMG
RenoMatic RM1400

Rear mount accessory for the removal of sand and/or rubber granulate in artificial turf

The RenoMatic RM1400 is able to remove infill material, sand and/or rubber, to an exact predetermined depth and quantity from artificial turf pitches. The powerful attachment with a working width of 1400 mm is connected to a tractor (minimum 34 HP) via a 3-point hydraulic attachment. The auger is driven by the hydraulic feed of the tractor while the two rotating tine shafts as well as the brush are driven by the provided cardan shaft of the tractor via PTO.

The infill material will be loosened and removed gently by both rotating tine shafts. A subsequent rotary brush collects the removed infill material. The speed adjustable auger transports the removed infilling material into either a BigBag or hopper.

Due to the precisely adjustable working depth of the tine shafts and rotary brush excellent results will be achieved in terms of removed quantity of infill material. The closed speed adjustable auger system enables a precise transport of the material into a waiting vehicle or directly into a BigBag. This entire process is extremely gentle on the fibre/ turf system.

The chassis of the RenoMatic RM1400 can be easily removed for control, service and adjusting jobs.

SMG
SandMatic B1505 RC

ully automatic infilling machine for exact dosage of sand and rubber into modern artificial turf surfaces

The SandMatic B1505RC fully meets the special demands placed on it by ultra-modern artificial turf surfaces and even when the pile is extremely high the prescribed amounts of sand or granulate will be exactly distributed and worked into the system by use of non-rotating/oscillating brushes. A free-hanging brush unit with separate brushes straightens and evens out the carpet pile. The sand is spread at the same time, thus put upright the pile. The oscillating brush unit which follows carefully, is adjustable in height and works the material into a level surface in one process. The required quantities of sand and rubber granulates are exactly dosed and spread in proportion to the speed at which the machine is driving. A slide valve enables the quantity of material strewn to be constantly variable from 2.5 - 40 kg/m2.

Driving speeds from 1 m/min to 15 m/min make the machine flexible in use. The working width is 1.5 meters. This gives a theoretical performance of 1.5 to 22.5 m2/min. The machine is driven by a 3-Cylinder Kubota diesel engine with a performance of 18.4 kW (25 HP).

All functions are performed by the compact radio control which makes the operation method more comfortable and expedites the working process. The machine can be also controlled manually by means of the operating panel in case of an unlikely breakdown of the remote control. The weight of the machine is supported by 8 air-filled, low-pressure tires. So, the machine, when filled, conforms to the permitted ground pressure for the synthetic surface. The four pairs of wheels can be pivoted through 120° for extremely easy manoeuvres. Forklift slots make loading by a forklift a safe operation.

SportChamp SC2

For cleaning and maintaining sand or granulate infilled artifi- cial turf surfaces and other fully synthetic sports surfaces

The SportChamp, the leading machine in the world market, is the solution for the maintenance of different synthetic sport surfaces within a sports facility. By the use of different attachments all synthetic sport surfaces can be cleaned and maintained according to the manufacturer‘ s instructions and beyond that for an efficient and economic upkeep of the surface. During weekly use, the SportChamp levels the infill material of filled surfaces with the rotary brush and eliminates contamination at the same time. Thus the infill material will be loosened and the fibre will be put upright again. Fibres lying loosely on the turf and even well rehearsed fine dirt will be vacuumed in a large-volume filter box during the surface maintenance by the proven extraction system. The filter unit is controlled automatically and cleaned within minutes. It will be evacuated - controlled hydraulically - quite conveniently while sitting on the driver seat.

Numerous attachments facilitate and expedite the necessary maintenance tasks. The range includes attachments for the winter services and the refilling of infill material, for the removal of leaves, the loosening of extreme compaction and the spraying of care products. The application area of the SportChamp is enlarged by additional attachments for non-infilled artificial turf, synthetic sports surfaces or sidewalks. Thereby it is the multifunctional care and maintenance machine for your sports facility. Beside the classic, weekly maintenance tasks the SMG SportChamp can additionally carry out the annual basic and deep cleaning.

Cleaning sand or granulate-infilled artificial turf

Only if a newly laid artificial turf surface is regularly cleared of dirt from the first day onwards, it will continue to allow surface water to drain away. This necessary cleaning procedure also hinders the growth of moss and algae and so preserves the artificial turf’s physiological characteristics. Depending on the condition of the surface and how dirty it has become, either the trailing brush combined with the suction turbine for fine dirt particles is used, or the rotating brush for coarser particles and air-borne dirt. Since the appliances are attached at the front every corner is cleaned and the specially strewn material is immediately replaced.

Cleaning fully synthetic turf

These sports surfaces are exposed to the same influences as sand or granulate-infilled artificial turf: weather and continual use adversely affect the quality of the material. The SportChamp, with the contra-rotating brush unit and its hydraulically operated sweepers will keep your fully synthetic turf in absolutely first-class condition. Only the Sport- Champ’s contra-rotating brushes are capable of straightening out the crushed fibres in no time at all. The powerful suction turbine, in conjunction with the brushes, picks up the dirt in an environmentally friendly process and deposits it in the large filter box. Fully artificial turf surfaces are regularly sprayed with water that is retained for a long time and this creates ground conditions that present conventional brush and suction appliances with insoluble problems.

But not the SportChamp – the only cleaning machine for synthetic surfaces with an interchangeable filter system! With this machine it is possible to clean wet playing areas without it being necessary to reduce the suction power or switch the turbine off altogether. Regularly cleaned with the SportChamp, your artificial turf will fulfill all the requirements for a top class playing surface. SportChamp: no dirt, no dust, no bits of felt and you will always have a well-maintained surface on which the balls roll true!

Easily accessible machine elements simplify the service work and reduce the time required to a minimum, so you always have a maintenance machine ready for use - and therefore an optimal surface. The hydrostatic drive and lifting mechanisms facilitate the work of the personnel using it. That is the way maintenance is fun. The machine is constructed in a way that it adapts exactly to the surface pressure required for synthetic surfaces. The SportChamp can be used on surfaces with unbounded base layers and even driving across the rain drains is possible.

TurfBoy TB2

Ride-on Machine For The Cleaning And Maintenance Of Artificial Turf With Sand and/or rubber granulates Infilling

The TurfBoy TB2 is driven by a 16 HP air-cooled petrol engine. Due to its very compact design the machine is ideal for the work on sand infilled tennis courts or sand/rubber infilled pitches such as futsal courts.

The rotary brush removes the very upper layer of infill material during its operation and is depth adjustable via two spindles. During this process an oscillating sieve seperates the dirt from the infill material. The vibrating screen can be precisely adjusted, with variable settings from 4 to 10 mm, depending and in accordance with the condition of the infill material. The integrated suction turbine separates the dust from the infill material. The cleaned infill material will be retuned to the system. The trailing brush row levels the infill material and, with a gentle action, lightly works it back into the artificial turf.

The rotary brush such as the trailing brush row can be dropped and lifted from the driver position. The trailing brush unit overlaps about 200 mm on the left side of the machine. This makes the cleaning of edges and corners possible. Due to the detachable trailing brush row, the TurfBoy TB2 can pass even doors of 1 meter width.

TurfCare TCA1400

For the cleaning and maintenance of sand and rubber filled artificial turf surfaces

The ground driven TurfCare TCA1400 from SMG cleans and maintains the surface of sand and rubber filled synthetic turf pitches. The wheel drive makes the equipment independent from any hydraulic or power shaft drives. Therefore the TurfCare can be pulled by various vehicles such as small compact tractors or quads.

The rotary brush straightens up the turf fibres and in the same process, gathers up all kind of dirt particles. The working depth can be precisely set and locked via two adjusting spindles. The two screens act as dirt trays. The vibrating screen can be precisely adjusted with variable settings from 4 - 10 mm depending on the degree of pollution and the grid size of the infilling material.

For the pass of narrow doorways the two transport rollers can be fold out and the tow bar can be raised up. A trailing brush row levels the infilling material and with a gentle action, lightly works it back into the artificial turf.

TurfMuncher TM5000

The TurfMuncher TM5000 is the most efficient machine in the world today for removing synthetic pitches with infill.

When a pitch has reached the end of its' useful life and needs to be replaced, the TurfMuncher lifts the turf, separates the infill, and rolls up the turf in one process without damage to the base. This allows for the turf and infill to be recycled, re-purposed, or re-used.

The TurfMuncher's proprietary removal devices separate up to 98% of the infill from the turf. The 2,400 mm discharge height of the exit conveyor allows for the infill to be collected in large bags, carts, or equipment buckets for bulk storage or shipping. Due to the extremely high infill discharge rate of up to 900 kg/min., the collection method and moving logistics will affect the removal rate of the TM5000.

All working components of the TurfMuncher TM5000 are powered by the self-contained 29.8 kw, 70 liters/min. mobile hydraulic system. This provides sufficient power to remove even the heaviest of synthetic turf systems. Easily accessible speed controls enable the operator to adjust the speed of the machine to compensate for all types of turf systems and conditions. The 16 pneumatic tires support the machine with a maximum pressure of 2.4 bar on the base.

After the infill is removed, the empty turf is accumulated in a tightly wound roll on the back of the machine. When the desired amount of turf is rolled up, maximum diameter 900 mm, the roll is cut and doffed and a new roll is started. The rolls of turf can easily be collected, loaded, and transported for recycling or re-purposing.

TurfSoft TS2/TS3

For the cleaning of small artificial turf surfaces with sand and sand/rubber filling

The competent conducted cleaning and maintenance is not only extremely important for the preservation of the playing characteristics and the guaranty of a long durability of the artificial turf pitches. Also the risk of players to be injured can be minimized by constant good athletic conditions of the surfaces.

The TurfSoft TS2 is a solution as simple as effective for the joy in the game and maintaining the value of small areas with infilled surfaces (sand and sand/rubber). Using this machine you can eliminate suspended particles, abrasion and dirt particles from the top surfaces. The manoeuvrable TurfSoft is ideal for areas with little space to move, where stairs, steps and narrow doorways complicate the access to the artificial turf pitches.

The TurfSoft is equipped with a petrol engine which controls three functions at the same time: the vibrating function of the sieve, the drive of the turbine and the rotation of the cleaning brush. With light pressure on the steering arm the brush steps into the turf and through the emerging feed it causes an easy and energy-saving operation.

The rotating brush absorbs the top layer of the infill material. Afterwards a sieve separates coarse and fine dirt. The suction turbine absorbs the coarse dirt directly into a permanent filter. The cleaned infill material is then spread out dosed by means of a vibrating sieve. The integrated filter can be simply cleaned by turning the handwheel.

For operation the front wheels of the TurfSoft are to lock but the fixing can be loosened for transport through narrow doorways. Since the TurfSoft is foldable and equipped with hand grips, it is easy to transport and can be stored spacesaving.

TurfSoft TS3
For the cleaning of infilled artificial turf pitches along boards, fences or corner blocks SMG has developed the alternative TurfSoft TS3. Equipped with a hinged side broom the TurfSoft TS3 eliminates the dirt even in areas which are difficult to access. If the side broom is not used, it can be easily folded.
